Carnevale oniferese

Protagonisti del carnevale oniferese sono "sos Maimones" maschere tipiche che, a differenza di altri personaggi dei carnevali barbaricini, non coprono il viso con travestimenti lignei, ma lo rendono irriconoscibile annerendolo con la fuliggine ricavata dal sughero bruciato. Durante il XX secolo la maschera ha assunto un carattere goliardico, pertanto si incontrano anche Maimones con il volto solo parzialmente dipinto.
